Bharat’s secular constitution is praised by people on the left for treating everyone the same. That’s a load of bull. It’s not even a constitution that was written from scratch.
The so called founders of Bharat the country (not the civilization or the land) with blood soaked borders copied most of it from the Government of India Act, 1935. Obviously, 1935 was before India’s freedom.
As a secular country, the British and their future sycophants decided that the affairs of temples needed to be controlled. And Hindus needed to be educated, corrected, sanitized, modernized and taught secularism, accounting and management.
Not mosques or churches since they are a consolidation of minority vote banks. And no efforts to curb caste discrimination amongst these religions – a Dalit Christian cannot enter many Churches (the religion of brotherhood).
Apart from enforcing caste-based activism in temples, Article 25(2) of the constitution and several Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Acts subjected temples and Hindus to secular laws.
Government-appointed boards and commissioners (including non Hindus) oversee temple assets, regulate finances, and appoint trustees. For example, the Tamil Nadu (TN) State’s HR&CE department oversees more than 30,000 temples. These officials are not required to have any knowledge or awareness of Sanathan/Hindu do’s and don’ts.
Official audits and estimates suggest the state’s temple properties and hundial collections generate upwards of Rs. 6,000 crore annually (USD 630 million).
Senior Advocate J. Sai Deepak remarked that if secular logic is applied to religious places, what will happen if religious logic is applied to secular places.”
This USD 630 million (only from one state) is managed by a government that is bound by a secular constitution, secular government and historically and proudly anti-Hindu, anti-Sanathan Dharma governments.
At a public event, DMK leader and former TN Minister Ponmudy made vulgar and derogatory remarks comparing Hindu religious symbols (the pattai and naamam) to sexual positions.
Another public event – DMK Leader and Former Deputy Chief Minister of TN Udhayanidhi Stalin repeated calls to eradicate Sanatana Dharma or Hinduism, comparing the faith with to diseases like malaria and dengue. This case is still pending before the Supreme Court of India.
At a political rally – DMK Leader and Former Union Minister T.R. Baalu boasted about demolishing three 100-year-old Hindu temples.
MP, DMK Leader and Former Union Minister A. Raja compared Sanatana Dharma to diseases like leprosy and HIV at a public event. At a later event, he said the Hindu religion is a “menace” to India and the world, and that it divides people by birth and promotes social inequality.
The DMK party which continues to abuse Brahmins and Hinduism reaped this Rs. 6,000 crore (USD 630 million) windfall every year. The money is seductive but the source are Gods who have no defenders in their own land.
A religion and region that elevated rishis (sages), acharyas (scholars) to divine or semi-divine status finds its temples routinely abused and neglected.
Should atheist, secular governments govern, administer and dictate do’s and don’ts of a temple?
Should a flat earther govern, administer and dictate do’s and don’ts of schools, colleges and the education ministry?
Should a quack govern, administer and dictate do’s and don’ts of medical colleges, hospitals and the Health ministry?
